Vice President of Brotherhood and Scholarship
|
Welcome to the Brotherhood and Scholarship page. My name is Rene Zeringue and I am the VP of Brotherhood and Scholarship for the 2010 school year. Having just been elected, I have many goals that I want to see FarmHouse achieve academically during my term. Our biggest goal is going to be maintaining the best grades among all fraternities on campus, one that we have managed to do for the past 3 semesters. To recap these past semesters, we have had an average GPA as a fraternity over a 3.0, with the highest being a 3.10 in Spring 2008. During this time period, the average undergraduate male GPA has ben a 2.4, the average fraternity male GPA has been a 2.6 and the average GPA of the second place fraternity has been a 2.8. While many people lose track of why they come to college, FarmHouse men are expected to be high in scholarship and maintain stellar grades from pledgeship until they graduate.
FarmHouse strives to have the best brotherhood not just on campus but the best brotherhood among any fraternity across the nation. Personally speaking I believe that our brotherhood is not just the closest group of guys, but we have also grown to become like true brothers throughout our experiences together as a fraternity. We currently are the only Fraternity on TROY's campus to have a full fraternity house, serving as a testiment to our strong brotherhood and dedication to being the best fraternity at Troy University. This past semester we shared time during numerous dinners with guest speakers as well as a couple nights just for brothers. During these brotherhood nights we spend time getting closer to each other and learning more about each individual. I believe that this is the most important part of a fraternity and this is what makes FarmHouse the best fraternity.
Thanks for your time,
Rene Zeringue |
